Social transformation at the grassroots level

Futuro Bem Maior is the program for strengthening community impact initiatives of the Bem Maior Movement.

5th Call for Proposals: A Greater Future
Frame 15581

Complex problem

When analyzing the country from the perspective of the allocation of philanthropic resources, it is noted that private social investment has an unequal distribution in Brazil.

What do we do?

Solution for the base

The Better Future is a program that supports social organizations making a difference in areas with high social vulnerability. We know that many of these initiatives transform realities every day, but still have limited access to resources and visibility. Our goal is to help these organizations grow sustainably, so they can fulfill their mission with greater strength, quality, and impact.

How does it work?

Institutional strengthening of initiatives

The organizations and collectives that are part of the Futuro Bem Maior program are selected through calls for proposals. Those who join the program receive flexible financial support and participate in training and mentoring on topics such as volunteering, management, and fundraising. This journey is built with the help of two partners: Instituto Phi, which closely monitors the organizations, and Instituto Phomenta, which offers training to strengthen the day-to-day operations of the initiatives.

Theory of change

The community base in the center

We believe that transforming Brazil begins with those who live in and understand the reality of each place. That's why we invest in organizations and collectives that work in communities with limited resources but great potential for change. We offer financial and technical support so that these initiatives can gain strength, expand their impact, and become active leaders in their territories—promoting local development and advocating for the causes that matter to those who live there.

Testimonials

MBM Testimonials

During the pandemic, our Institute had to close its doors to in-person activities and focus on small, one-off projects, in addition to helping with campaigns to support our community. To resume activities in 2022, we had to restructure our entire planning and team. The 4th edition of the Futuro Bem Maior program was fundamental in helping us regain momentum to continue our journey! The financial support is assisting in the resumption of in-person activities, paying professionals to assist in communication, but above all, the training we are undertaking is providing self-awareness of the institute, greatly helping our team to recognize our strengths and weaknesses and to develop new strategies for the future.

MBM Testimonials

Being selected, as an organization, for the 3rd FBM call for proposals and participating in the training in 2022 was of fundamental importance for us to understand the crucial moment we were going through. These were old problems, but they demanded new solutions. Knowing the Theory of Change to understand where the CSO wants to go and how to get there made all the difference so that in 2023 we were able to access calls for proposals such as the Itaú Social FIA, developing a network with several other organizations in Gravatá.
