Currently, the number of women leaders is growing throughout Brazil, a trend that has been consolidating in recent times. The NGOs supported by the Bem Maior Movement are no exception. 57% are managed by women, who together contribute to social transformation in their communities. Today, the Bem Maior Movement encompasses 38 social projects in 15 states across Brazil, working in the areas of human rights, health, education, arts, accessibility and income generation, art and culture, environment, and food security.
In celebration of International Women's Day, some of these NGO representatives met virtually this Monday, the 8th.
For Carola Matarazzo, executive director of the Bem Maior Movement, "the female role is strategic in transmitting values to future generations." Carola believes that our duty as businesspeople and citizens at this moment is to care for people, because they are Brazil's greatest asset.
However, when we talk about female leadership, there is a long road ahead. One of the paths is networking, coupled with the strength of these women, as a possible way to transform lives, create opportunities, and reduce inequalities.
