Redes Bahia is a co-investment coalition formed by the Bem Maior Movement in partnership with Brainvest, the Ivete Sangalo Institute, and the Lina Galvani Institute. Together, we strengthen the structure of social organizations and collectives in Bahia that are already building responses to local social challenges.
What is it
Strengthening those already in the territory is the most direct way to ensure that transformation continues after the initial support.
Redes Bahia was born from a direct observation: Bahia has organizations active in all its territories, and a large part of them face similar challenges. What is usually lacking is not work or knowledge, but a foundation to sustain the work over time.
The coalition uses a methodology inspired by the Futuro Bem Maior program, which combines flexible financial resources, training, technical support, and the exchange of experiences. The expected result is organizations that are better prepared to meet their objectives and amplify the impact of their actions.
Why Bahia?
Bahia is organized into 27 Identity Territories, a division that recognizes the diversity of cultures, economies, and ways of life in the state. This plurality translates into a strong presence of community organizations, which operate in distinct contexts and are intimately familiar with local challenges.
At the same time, Brazilian private social investment remains concentrated. According to the GIFE 2025 Census, 89% of resources are concentrated in the Southeast region. The gap between where the challenges lie and where the capital arrives is what Redes Bahia aims to reduce, supporting the institutional strengthening of organizations and collectives in Bahia.
How it works
The Redes Bahia program has a first cycle lasting two years. After selection, the initiatives receive flexible financial resources, training, technical support, and the opportunity to exchange experiences. Governance is shared among the coalition partners.
