National Pact to Combat Inequalities

About the project

The National Pact to Combat Inequalities is an alliance of civil society organizations and networks, mayors' associations, labor unions, and parliamentarians who have decided to join forces to ensure that combating inequalities is truly at the top of their priorities and the political agenda of the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches at the municipal, state, and federal levels. The Pact foresees strategies for coordination with parliamentarians, the federal Executive branch, municipalities, companies, organizations, and unions to carry out joint initiatives to combat inequalities. Furthermore, it includes an Observatory of Brazilian Inequalities, whose objective is to monitor the behavior of benchmark indicators on inequalities in Brazil, thus providing input to civil society and to governments, parliamentarians, and public managers so that they can improve public policies promoting equity.
