In such a difficult year in the country's history as 2021, countless solidarity campaigns brought support and hope to many people. With the aim of highlighting the importance of actions like this and highlighting some highlights, the Movimento Bem Maior prepared a list of ten initiatives that helped to reduce the suffering of Brazilians in this year of pandemic and strong economic crisis.

– Mothers of the Favelas

Imagine being a mother, heading a family and being out of work because of the crisis generated by the pandemic. To help these women who live in favelas, Cufa (Central Única das Favelas) continued its “Mães das Favelas” program at full steam in 2021. The project operates along two lines: one is to bring basic food baskets to these women in various cities across the country, and the other is to make resources available at the same value as the basic food baskets so that mothers themselves can define what is a priority for their children. families and can choose, for example, between buying food or cooking gas. The total collected in the solidarity fund in 2021 until November 8th was R$425.8 million.
