Common questions
MBM is an association, a civil society organization or simply an NGO. Our associates constitute a network of influential people united by their values and sense of urgency, and their mission is to strengthen philanthropy in Brazil. Through philanthropic co-investment, MBM receives resources that are transformed into financial and technical support for social organizations across the country, with the main pillars being Impulse, developing the field of philanthropy, and Focus, strengthening social organizations.
MBM has two major pillars of social investment, Impulse and Focus. In order for your organization to be eligible for MBM support, it must demonstrate, in addition to the strategic alignment we seek, extensive knowledge about the territory and the cause with which it operates and consistent good governance practices.
To participate in the Futuro Bem Maior program, you must register your organization in the open call. The program is aimed at social organizations and community-based collectives that operate throughout the national territory. Selection notices take place every two years. To receive news about upcoming events, subscribe to our monthly Radar MBM newsletter and follow along.
MBM works exclusively with resources from its members.
MBM associates are philanthropists committed to Brazilian society, willing to invest in strengthening the country's philanthropic sector. The minimum annual social investment for a member is R$500,000.
We only make donations to individuals who are representatives of collectives, who qualify and are selected by the Futuro Bem Maior program. Our model does not provide for direct donations to individuals in other situations, even for investment in studies, debt repayment, health treatment or to start a business.
