Banco de Alimentos is a civil association that collects foods that have lost shelf value in commerce and industry, but are still suitable for consumption, and distributes them where they are most needed. Instead of discarding food, the partners donate surplus food to the NGO, which passes everything on to social entities registered in the project. This distribution allows the nutritional supplementation of meals served to thousands of people in the city of São Paulo, every day.
