Have you ever wondered how the Much Greater Movement chooses the organizations you support? The answer lies in the selection criteria - well -defined, strategic and aligned with our mission to strengthen a living, collaborative and transformative philanthropic ecosystem.

The social advancement in which we believe it only happens when built in a net - with confidence, listening and transparency. Nothing blooms alone. It is in the exchange between knowledge, territories and people that philanthropy bears fruit. Therefore, in this article, we invite you to know closely how we select the organizations that make up our social investment portfolio.

Sharing this process is also a way to reinforce the bonds that connect us. After all, opening our operation is a gesture of trust - and a way to value the relationships that support the social ecosystem in Brazil.

What we seek in the organizations we support

In MBM, we understand that an organization, by itself, has a limited scope in the face of the complexity of social challenges. Therefore, we adopt a systemic look, evaluating the role of each initiative within an interconnected ecosystem that seeks joint solutions with collective intelligence.

We have selected organizations based on criteria that guarantee strategic alignment, sustainable impact and effective contribution to the philanthropic field:

  • Connection with our mission and values: Is the organization aligned with the principles of MBM? We believe in initiatives that share the vision of a fairer, equitable and collaborative Brazil.
  • Transformation Capacity: Is the methodology robust and has real potential to generate impact? We seek organizations that move structures and generate concrete changes.
  • Sustainability and Management: How does the organization structure its processes and resources? We evaluate the potential of perpetuity and autonomy, fundamental to strengthen the ecosystem in the long run.
  • History and credibility: Who leads the organization? Its trajectory in the social field and the trust of the community are important pillars for sustainable relationships.
  • Transparency and Governance: Is there clarity in management, accountability and use of resources? Integrity is essential for relationships of trust and collective impact.
  • Replicability and Innovation: Can the solution be adapted and climbing? Innovations that can be shared are valuable nutrients for the ecosystem.
  • Territorial influence: Does the organization have roots in the territory and articulate local agents? The impact needs to respect and value contexts, promoting community development.
  • Ecosystem Strengthening: Does the initiative connect with other organizations and complement existing actions? Each partner needs to add and nourish the network as a whole.

COCRIATE A IMPACT ECOSYSTEM

Finally, selected organizations are those aligned with the pillars that support our social investment strategy. This alignment is what defines how we relate to each initiative: with support that is not limited to financing, but strengthens its structures, expands capabilities and drives connections that promote joint responses - always in a structured, relational and oriented way to strengthen the ecosystem.

From this understanding, our performance is organized in two large complementary pillars:

  • Focus : Support to the institutional development of social organizations that work in key areas such as education, productive inclusion and community base.
  • Impulse : Strengthening of the philanthropic ecosystem infrastructure, through advocacy, data, narratives and collaborative networks.

As with a biome, we believe that diversity and collaboration strengthen the whole. A forest only grows with constant exchanges, deep roots and beware of the surrounding environment.

A process oriented by strategy and vision of the future

Each organization that makes up our wallet is selected with intentionality. We consider the diversity of causes, contexts and trajectories, always with attention to the complementarity between them.

In five years, we support more than 250 organizations and collectives present in all states of Brazil. The choice of these initiatives responds to urgent social needs, but also contributes to a more robust, articulated and resilient ecosystem.

Our 2024 Activity Report presents organizations that are nourishing this network with purpose, innovation and courage. They are distinct trajectories, united by the same commitment to the largest good.
