Sustainable development and the strengthening of philanthropy in the country motivate the choices and support of the private social investment of the Bem Maior Movement. Therefore, we are reinforcing our national network with the addition of 6 new organizations .
Feeding the Good; City of Boys; Mano Down Institute; PIPA; Third Sector Observatory and Peninsula Institute are now part of the team of initiatives that receive our financial and technical investment to expand the impact of their actions.
With this new phase, MBM now supports over 200 organizations, mobilizing more than R$ 110 million in resources in 4 years of operation. The constant expansion of this work aims to connect networks and resources for the positive social transformation of the country.
Support for Alimentando o Bem, Cidade dos Meninos, and Instituto Mano Down is part of MBM's " Focus " pillar, which fosters, through strategic philanthropy, social actions aimed at social justice and the promotion of equal opportunities.
The other three organizations are supported through MBM's " Impulse " pillar, which aims to strengthen the philanthropy ecosystem and democratize private social investment in Brazil. Learn more about each of them:
The Instituto Alimentando o Bem acts as a catalyst for productive inclusion and sustainable local development, with women as its main pillar of transformation. Through projects dedicated to the professional training of women in vulnerable situations , the organization seeks to develop solutions for the socioeconomic development of the Perequê community and surrounding areas in the municipality of Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. The goal is for these solutions to be replicated in other communities throughout Brazil.
The City of Boys of Saint Vincent de Paul is an institution that is part of the Divine Providence System and offers full-time education, as well as housing, food, dental care, and cultural, sports, leisure, and vocational training activities to vulnerable children and adolescents from Ribeirão das Neves, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
The Mano Down Institute aims to break cycles of exclusion, social invisibility, and lack of opportunity by promoting the enhanced development of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities . Through its Enhanced Development Program, the organization works across all stages of life, providing transformations and generating a positive impact on society.
The PIPA Initiative's mission is to contribute to democratizing access to private social investment in Brazil. The organization seeks to create conditions so that philanthropic resources are accessible to organizations, collectives, and grassroots movements in favelas and peripheral areas , in a broad and equitable manner in terms of race, gender, and class. The support that PIPA provides to its audiences strengthens the philanthropy ecosystem and helps to decentralize private resources to enable actions and projects of those who are on the front lines.
The Observatory is a content agency that seeks to give voice to issues focusing on social topics that are underexplored by the media , encompassing areas such as education, health, human rights, culture, and the environment. The organization aims to bring to light problems, challenges, gaps, and solutions that often fall outside the agenda of the traditional press. This work expands the visibility and reach of organizations and the values of strategic philanthropy, bringing these issues to a wider and increasingly aware audience.
Through the documentary series "The Art of Giving," promoted by the Península Institute, produced by Zazen Produções and directed by Marcos Prado, the aim is to disseminate a culture of giving in our society. The audiovisual pieces portray, through inspiring stories of various contemporary personalities, the relationship between donor and recipient , demonstrating how this exchange is a two-way street.
The Bem Maior Movement is proud to join forces with these initiatives and we are excited to promote these causes together. We remain steadfast in our mission to strengthen philanthropy in Brazil , connecting organizations, mobilizing resources, and driving social transformation throughout the country. Together, we can make a difference and build a more just and inclusive future.
